Graduate Policies and Procedures
The Office of Research and Graduate Studies, as part of its mission to help define and support graduate scholarship, maintains the catalog of graduate policy and curriculum, assists the graduate faculty in curriculum processes, and ensures compliance with UIW standards for students publishing a thesis, doctoral project or dissertation (ETD).
Requirements for all graduate programs may be found in the Graduate Bulletin, including admission standards, academic regulations, and detailed criteria for master's and doctoral degrees.
Consult the theses, doctoral projects and dissertations menu to view the UIW ETD style manual and other information for students who are completing an ETD as partial fulfillment of the requirements of their degree program.
Select this link for information on copyright and licensing your work; key submission dates and deadlines; how to prepare, format and submit an ETD for format review; page templates; preparing a SafeAssign report; and other resources.
The Graduate Bulletin contains information on current graduate programs, courses, and matriculation requirements, and describes the academic policies, standards, and procedures related to graduate education at the University of the Incarnate Word. Students are responsible for understanding and following the policies enunciated in the bulletin.
The Graduate Council, whose members are graduate faculty representing UIW colleges and schools, meets regularly throughout the year to consider existing and proposed graduate curriculum, policies, and procedures.
