The Graduate Support Center presents institutes on a variety of topics, designed to help boost the academic and professional career of graduate and professional students at UIW.

Each institute presents workshops aimed squarely at the needs of graduate and professional students to succeed and excel in their academic program and career. Taught by faculty and staff of the University of the Incarnate Word, all workshops are presented on Saturdays. Refreshments and light morning snacks are provided.

—Workshop: How to Conduct a Literature Review Search 9 a.m. – 10:25 a.m.

This process of working on a literature review for a class project or paper can be overwhelming. Learn to manage resources and discover how to search for literature appropriate to your subject area. 

—Workshop: How to Write a Literature Review 10:30 a.m. – Noon

Professional guidance on searching the literature and building good databases of authors & titles, followed by expert advice on the literature review structure, purpose & composition process.
