Nekima Williams, O.D.
Dr. Nekima Williams is an assistant professor at the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg College of Optometry. She provides patient care as an attending optometrist at the Eye Institute and also assists in the teaching of laboratories in the cornea and contact lens course and practice management course. Dr. Williams is also currently the Director of the Externship Program for the 4th year students. She graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. Immediately following, she received her Doctorate of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry. During that time, she completed her externships at Quantico Naval Base in Quantico, Virginia and Maplewood Advanced Eye Care Center in Wichita Falls, Texas. Since graduating she had been in private practice throughout San Antonio focusing mainly on primary care, anterior segment disorders and specialty contact lens care. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Texas Optometric Association and the Bexar County Optometric Association.
