Kara Tison, O.D., F.A.A.O.
Dr. Kara Tison is a Clinical Assistant Professor at UIW’s Rosenberg School of Optometry. She was raised in Southern Illinois and is a graduate of the University of Mississippi where she earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry education. She is also a graduate of the Indiana University's School of Optometry. Dr. Tison worked in private practice in Southern Illinois before completing a Pediatrics and Vision Therapy Residency at the Southern College of Optometry.
Dr. Tison is the Chief of Pediatrics at the Rosenberg School of Optometry and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association, and College of Optometrist in Vision Development.
