The traditional BSN program prepares graduates to take the licensure examination to become a Registered Nurse (RN). Nursing courses include clinical experiences in a variety of settings with clients across the lifespan. Our new nursing education building includes a state-of-the-art clinical simulation center with the latest in high fidelity teaching manikins. UIW graduates are employed around the world in all areas of health care including hospitals, community settings, research, education, parish ministries, government agencies and the military services.
The program is approved by the Texas Board of Nursing and fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
