Campus Ministry - Weekly Reflection
By Rev. Trevor D. Alexander, Ph.D.
For this week's Campus Ministry message visit: www.uiw.edu/campusministry
An invitation to join the UIW Music Ministry’s Sometimes Singers & Players
The Sometime Singers and Players are a new component to UIW’s Music Ministry. The group is open to faculty, administration, staff and students who sing or play an instrument and would like to be involved in the university’s music ministry on a part-time basis. The SS/P joins year-round members of the UIW Music Ministry for specific worship services during the year.
Members of the SS/P will receive invitations for ministry opportunities on a service-by-service basis. Each event has one or two rehearsals associated with it. A member is committed to singing or playing only when they RSVP to the event. This also allows for the preparation of adequate materials from the Music Ministry Office.
The next ministry opportunity for the SS/P is: May 8 @ 6 p.m. – Baccalaureate Mass. Rehearsals for this service will be on Tuesday, May 5 and Thursday, May 7 from 5:30-7:15 p.m. in Our Lady’s Chapel (Admin. Building). The RSVP for participation is today, Friday, May 1.
If you are interested in joining the SS/P, contact Lena Gokelman, Coordinator of Liturgical Music, (x3207 or firstname.lastname@example.org) or SS/P faculty advocate, Dr. Glenn James (x 2717, email@example.com ). We look forward to your participation in our Music Ministry.
UIW’s Baccalaureate Mass will take place at 6 p.m., Friday, May 8 in the Alice P. McDermott Convocation Center. All are welcome to join our graduates as they mark this momentous occasion.
Daily Mass Schedule
Daily Mass will be held Monday through Thursday at noon in Our Lady’s Chapel. Daily Mass is approximately thirty minutes in length.
Specific prayer intentions may be e-mailed to one of the Campus Ministry staff:

During the period between April 27 through May 8, users may experience brief interruptions of service regarding internet access, email access, or Blackboard access. Users on campus who currently log in to the “uiw_acc” domain will not be able to log in after the upgrade. If you feel you may be affected, please contact the Help Desk at X2721 to set up an appointment. To the extent possible actual service transfers will be conducted during off-peak hours. Interruptions, if they occur at all, will last no longer than a few minutes. Questions should be directed to the UIW Help Desk at extension 2721.
