Help the Ronald McDonald House
Residence Life is collecting household supplies to donate to the Ronald McDonald House. Donation boxes are located in the Campus Life Office and on the first floor of the Administration Building. Admissions will hold orientations from 1:15 – 2:15 p.m. Thursday, July 24 and Friday, July 25 in Marian Hall Ballroom.
Deadline to sign up for TRiO Summer Bridge Program
The TRiO Student Success Program will be holding its annual Summer Bridge Program from July 20-25 for up to 40 incoming freshmen. The check-in time is from 3-5 p.m. in Marian Ballroom.It is a free orientation for first-year students and a registration form needs to be filled out and approved in advance.Today is the deadline to fill out the form, which can be picked up in AD 225. The main tenet of the SSP is to increase retention and graduation rates of its participants through the provision of a continuum of academic (i.e., tutoring) and nonacademic support services tailored to assist each participant from enrollment to graduation. Alumni Golf Event
Enzo '02 BBA and Kristy Pellegrino '01 BBA,'03 MBA, in conjunction with the UIW Alumni Association, have organized a golf outing for UIW Alumni and the community on Friday, July 25. Registration is at 12:30 p.m. and tee time is 1 p.m. at Olympia Hills Golf Course. The cost is $29.50 and includes green fees, cart, and range balls. Last Herbal Tea Session
The Institute of World Cultures is sponsoring an opportunity to learn about herbal teas of the world. Discuss and learn about various ancient cultures and their uses of herbal tea. Enjoy music and meditation, and taste delicious herbal teas. The last session is about European teas on July 22, from noon to 2 p.m. in the ICC. The free training classes are offered to faculty and staff by reservation only and seating is limited. Emergency Siren System Test
A test of the emergency siren system on campus is planned for Friday at 4:30 p.m. The test is only an exercise and no action is necessary. The test will include the following:

Farewell Reception
Please join Technology in a farewell reception for Linda Perez who has worked at the university for 14 years. The reception will be from 3-4:30 p.m. Thursday, July 24 in the Brackenridge Villa. - Incarnate Word High School parking is being affected by the school’s renovations. There is a “tented” area under the covered parking.ADCaP faculty and students are advised to park away from that area, as the varnish being sprayed on classroom doors could be harmful to paint on cars.
