The Texas Nurses Association District 8 and Sigma Theta Tau International Delta Alpha Chapter-at-large (the local chapters of both organizations) held the annual Nurse Imagemakers recognition luncheon at Oak Hills Country Club.Dr. Laura Muñoz and Annette Etnyre attended. This year, 33 local nurses were honored, including Etnyre.

Mission

Donate School Supplies
Donate old school supplies to students at Mexicano Centro Cristiano para los Sordos. Each year, a Texas mission team presents Vacation Bible School at this private Christian school for deaf children in Mexico. Donations will be accepted at Campus Ministry in the Chapel Building until June 19. The Texas mission team will be delivering supplies to the school June 21. Farewell Reception
The comptroller will have a farewell reception for Margaret Esparza-Lee who has worked in the Business Office for eight years as the Business Office Manager. The reception will be from 3 - 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 17 in AD 155. Light refreshments will be served. Her last day is June 20.

Tennis Camp Schedule
The camp runs from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Monday - Thursday; 9 a.m. - noon on Friday. The cost is $200 per person. Pastoral Institute 40th Anniversary Conference
Summer 2008 marks the 40th Anniversary of the Pastoral Institute at the University of the Incarnate Word. The theme is Catechesis as Ministry of the Word. Conference packet pickup and on-site registration will be at the UIW International Conference Center. Costs for the full conference: $50 General Public; $40 Groups of 3 or more, per person; $40 IW Graduates and Students. Cost for individual sessions, per session: $18 General Public; $15 UIW Graduates and Students. For more information, contact Sr. Eilish Ryan at eryan@uiwtx.edu or 829-3880.

Workshop in Pastoral Music
The Pastoral Institute at UIW invites you to the 13th annual Workshop in Pastoral Music on Friday, June 27, and Saturday, June 28 at Our Lady’s Chapel. Composer and presenter Steve Warner is the founder of the internationally-known Folk Choir at the University of Notre Dame. Pre-registration runs until June 14 and costs $ 40 per person for the full workshop, $35 per person for three or more from the same parish or group. The cost for only the Friday concert is $15. Saturday single sessions cost $15 per person. After June 16, the cost rises to $50 person/$40 groups and $15 single sessions. Instructional Technology Summer Training Schedule 2008
The free training classes are offered to faculty and staff by reservation only and seating is limited. All classes begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 12:30 p.m. The following sessions will take place in Room 230 of the Mabee Library. Make reservations via e-mail to: tpeak@uiwtx.edu. At least five participants must register for each session in order for the session to take place.
