2017 catholic president lecture series dr. denise doyle

Dr. Denise Doyle, UIW acting president, invited the community to the third informal conversation with a president from a Catholic university Thursday, Feb. 9, in the Seddon Recital Hall. Dennis shared his insights as president of DePaul University and took questions from the community.

UIW Provides Free Tax Filing Services through VITA
UIW is providing free tax prep services to qualifying households through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. Operation is Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon, through April 15 in the Joyce Building, Room 126. No appointment is necessary. Info for employees can be found here. Info for students can be found here. Travel Advisory Info Session

Slavery and the Spirituals: The Music and Voice of the Voiceless

10th Annual UIW Student Media Gala and Silent Auction
UIW Convergent Media, UIWtv, the Logos Newspaper and KUIW.org present the 10th Annual UIW Student Media Gala and Silent Auction at 6 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 26, in the McCombs Center Rosenberg Sky Room. 14th Annual Red Dress Health Fair & Fashion Show
The 14th Annual Red Dress Health Fair & Fashion Show is set for 11 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 28 in the McCombs Center Rosenberg Sky Room.  This event brings awareness to female cardiac health and features unique designs by UIW fashion students. Over 20 health and lifestyle vendors will be available to purchase gifts for your valentine. UIW’s professional programs will also be on hand to provide various health screenings. For info, contact pr@uiwtx.edu or (210) 829-6001.

Pardi Gras

Red Dress Health Fair and Fashion Show: Photography Contest
The second annual Red Dress photography contest is open to all UIW faculty, staff and students. Entries must be an original photograph representing the color red and/or something related to the heart, heart health or the American Heart Association’s Go Red Campaign. Photographs should be printed on a 12x14 or 14x14 canvas and not exceed a cost of $35. Voting will take place at the event. Artwork will be available for purchase.
