2017 uiw announces san antonio tricentennial

 

It was announced this week that the University of the Incarnate Word is an official partner of San Antonio's Tricentennial celebration, which will take place in 2018. Many celebratory events will be taking place next year to celebrate San Antonio's heritage including events and exhibitions here on our campus. UIW Theatre presents Tom Stoppard's Arcadia. Britain's wittiest playwright collides

Dr. Annemarie Walsh Memorial Service
Dr. Annemarie Walsh, former director of the UIW Fashion Management program, passed away surrounded by her family on Dec. 19, 2016. In 1993, Dr. Walsh became the director of the Fashion Management and Design department until her retirement in 2007. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Jan. 28, in Our Lady's Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Dr. Anne Marie Walsh Scholarship Fund by calling (210) 829-6013.

Presidential Search
Acting UIW President Dr. Denise Doyle is pleased to announce that Dr. Ann Die Hasselmo, the consultant from Academic Search who is assisting with the UIW presidential search, will be on campus on Feb. 1 and 2. Dr. Hasselmo is visiting UIW to conduct listening sessions with various constituent groups of the University in what the community is looking for in the next president. Employee Wellness Challenge
Registration is now open for the First Quarter Wellness Challenge. "Ready, Set, Go!" is a fun, free, team-based fitness challenge. Join a team with your coworkers. Compete with other teams to see who can log the most minutes of exercise, walk the most steps and lose the most weight. This is designed for all fitness levels and open to all UIW employees. Sway, a Microsoft product, is designed to present ideas simply and vividly on a screen rather than to an audience in a classroom or at a conference. St. Anthony Catholic High School Garnet and Grey Scholarship Gala
