San Antonio – Join UIW’s Mission & Ministry, from 4 p.m. to midnight, Saturday, Feb. 1, for the 2014 Cardinal Dance Marathon (CDM) and dance for kids who can’t. This unique and exciting tradition is dedicated to raising awareness and funds to serve the families of the Children’s Hospital of San Antonio, a member of the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
The Cardinal Dance Marathon is an eight- hour Dance Marathon hosted by UIW Mission & Ministry to raise money and awareness for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Students will remain on their feet for the entirety of the event in solidarity with nurses who work long shifts and in honor of those children who can’t.
On February 1, 2014, our day filled with dancing, games, performances, and touching moments as we hear from some of our Miracle Families. Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® raise funds for 170 children’s hospitals across North America. These donations support research and training, purchase equipment, and pay for uncompensated care. Children’s Miracle Network hospitals are there 24 hours a day to help children of all ages and backgrounds overcome disease and injury. They also work to prevent disease and injury through research, education and outreach programs keeping millions of children out of the hospital each year.
