UIW to host presentation by Taiwanese Ambassador Daniel T.C. Liao

San Antonio – The University of the Incarnate Word’s International Affairs Office will host a presentation by Taiwanese Ambassador Daniel T.C. Liao, Ph.D., titled “Understanding Taiwan: A look into the global position of Taiwan.” The presentation will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 6, from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. in UIW‘s Grossman International Conference Center auditorium, (847 E. Hildebrand).

Taiwan has long enjoyed a unique and deep friendship with the United States. In his presentation, Liao will outline the current position of Taiwan, with an eye to the future, focusing on many relevant cultural, political, and economic considerations.

Liao holds a DBA from Pacific State University and a BA from National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan, specializing in Foreign Languages and Literature and has held many notable positions including: Ambassador to Tuvalu, Charge D’ Affairs to the Commonwealth of Dominica, and Director General for the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Seattle.
