Dr. Ludim Pedroza

Dr. Pedroza, Assistant Professor of Music, teaches music history, studies in world music, history of jazz, keyboard skills for music majors, and group piano for beginners.  She earned a Ph. D. in Fine Arts with a concentration in Piano Pedagogy from Texas Tech University, and M. A. and B. A. degrees in performance from West Texas A&M University and Antillean College.  Dr. Pedroza’s research interests center on comparative studies in music and society, especially on anthropological approaches to the analysis of various musical events in modern society.  Dr. Pedroza is also an active performer and continues to experiment with diverse performance formats and repertoires.
