The Orchestra of the Incarnate Word (MUEN 1181) brings together UIW music students and faculty with professional and amateur musicians from the San Antonio community. The orchestra performs a variety of works from the standard repertoire. Concerts are given on UIW’s main campus and at other venues throughout San Antonio and Bexar County.
Terence Frazor conducts the orchestra, and its concertmaster is Richard Kilmer. Some of South Texas’s most outstanding musical artists have appeared as soloists with the orchestra, including violinist Matthew Zerweck and pianists Rick Rowley, Nicole Cabello, and Zachary Ridgway.
Rehearsal Information:
Rehearsals are held on Monday evenings (7:00-9:45pm) on the UIW campus during the fall and spring semesters. Rehearsals and performances are held in the Luella Bennack Music Center Concert Hall.
