An Opportunity to Prepare for Graduate Study:

Have you been thinking about attending graduate school, but don’t know how to get started? Do you need help in clarifying your goals and developing your action plan?

The UIW McNair Scholars Program will provide:

• Preparation for graduate exams
• Assistance in applying to graduate school
• Academic, career, and personal counseling
• Exposure to professional role models

Program Benefits:

Academic Year

• Meetings with faculty mentor
• Professional Development Seminars
• Paid travel to a professional conference or research conference
• Paid travel to visit graduate schools

Scholarship monies are now available for research scholars during their junior and senior years for a total of four semesters.

Summer

• Research stipend up to $2,800
• Funding for research materials
• Training in research methodology
• 320 hours research internship
