Dr. Roberta Leichnitz

Director, McNair Scholars Program

Dr. Leichnitz has been working with the McNair Scholars Program since February 2000,first as a Graduate Assistant and now as the Director. Before assuming the position of Director, she was a Spanish Instructor at both St. Mary’s University and San Antonio College. Dr. Leichnitz received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Washington, a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with a minor in Ethnic Studies from Central Washington University, and a Master of Arts in Spanish Literature from the University of Washington. She also studied Spanish Literature at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Leichnitz earned her Ph.D. in Education with a concentration in Organizational Leadership at UIW.
