Christina Mendez
Secretary/Receptionist
Christina Mendez began working for the McNair Scholars Program in August 2007 as the program secretary/receptionist. Christina holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in Music Industry Studies(2006) from the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW). She will be pursuing a Master's degree in Media Studies at The New School in New York City beginning in Fall 2008. Her office is located in room 120 of the Administration Bldg. Ms. Mendez is also a former McNair scholar. Her research was conducted in the summers of 2005 and 2006. Her research and presentations are as follows:
Summer 2006 topic: Concert Ticket Dynamics: Exploring Purchasing Relationships in the San Antonio Market
Summer 2005 topic: The Affects of Mass Merchandising of Music in San Antonio
Presented 2006 topic at the 9th Annual Texas National McNair Conference at the University of North Texas Spring 2007 and at the 11th Annual Rocky Mountain McNair Research Symposium and Graduate Education Conference at Colorado State University in Fall 2006. Presented 2005 topic at the 8th Annual Texas National McNair Conference at University of North Texas in Spring 2006 and at the 2006 National Research Conference at University of Maryland in Spring 2006.
