    • International Music Score Library Project (IMSLP) 

      A music library to provide music scores free of charge to anyone with internet access. The scores represented are out of copyright and therefore represent 19th-century editorial conventions.

    • Library of Congress National Jukebox
      Makes historical sound recordings available to the public free of charge. Includes recordings from the Library of Congress Packard Campus for Audio Visual Conservation and other contributing libraries and archives.

    • Mass Database
      The MDB records around 40,000 settings of the Ordinary (Mass) to range from the closing years of the 14th century up to the present day. In addition to general information on the works and basic information about the composer, it also provides a list of source material and modern editions for each composition,

    • Musical America International Directory of the Performing Arts (2015)
      Definitive industry resource guide for the performing arts. This resource contains comprehensive listings and contact information for more than 10,000 performers and 14,000 organizations in 95 countries.

       

    • MUSOPEN

      Database of music scores (sheet music) and recordings either in Public Domain or Creative Commons free of copyright. Attention should be paid to the editorial nature of some of the scores that are based on old practices.

    • Neue Mozart Ausgabe

      Offers the musical text and the critical commentaries of the entire Mozart works (Neue Mozart-Ausgabe), edited by the Internationale Stiftung Mozart in cooperation with the Mozart cities of Augsburg, Salzburg, and Vienna.

    • New Music USA

      New Music USA was formed by the merger of the American Music Center and Meet The Composer. It provides over $1 million each year in grant support for the creation and performance of new work and community building throughout the country. It amplifies the voice of the new music community through New Music Box, profiling the people and ideas that energize and challenge music makers today. It streams a wide-ranging catalog of new music around the clock on Counterstream Radio and provides an online home for composers to feature their own music.

    • Performing Arts Encyclopedia
      Guide to the Library of Congress' resources that pertain to music, theater, dance, motion pictures, broadcasting, & recorded sound.

    • REC Music Foundation
      Source for the texts and translations of Art Songs (Lieder). It can be searched by composers, poets, song titles, first line of songs, and language.

    • RILM Abstracts of Music Literature
      International bibliography of scholarly writings on music and related disciplines. This resource can be accessed by only a single user at a time.

    • RISM : Répertoire International des Sources Musicales (Intl. Inventory of Musical Sources)
      Database of musical sources, the majority of which are music manuscripts dating from before 1800. Original sources are available from the libraries, music archives, and private collections as indicated in the RISM database. These institutions can often be approached for reproductions.

    • Smithsonian Folkways

      The most authoritative database of recordings and information related to the world music.
