On-campus housing is a very popular option, especially amongst first-year students. As soon as you are a confirmed student, you are encouraged to submit your housing application. Priority for room selection will be based on the date your housing deposit is received.
Housing applications are accepted on a rolling deadline; however, students are encouraged to consult the housing process dates on the housing portal (link below) to determine when each step of the process is recommended to be completed.
Some residence halls are more popular with returning students than others, so the number of available spaces for new students will vary by hall. For upper-class housing, returning residence hall students will have priority in the room assignment process. First year students will have the opportunity to select their room during the application process. Any students who have applied for housing, but miss the opportunity for room selection, will have their room assigned by the Office of Residence Life according to room availability and the room preferences designated on the housing application.
If you prefer to live with a specific person, please search for them by screen name during the Roommate Selection Step of the housing application process. Roommates may need to be broken up if there are no rooms available to accommodate the request.
Please note that a room cannot be selected in the housing application process until the $225 housing deposit has been received and proof of the meningitis immunization has been submitted.
To secure a room on campus, please pay your $225.00 housing deposit using the UIW ePayment Center in Bannerweb.
BannerWeb Login User ID is your student ID #.
BannerWeb PIN is your birthday in the following format: MMDDYY
(M = Month, D = Day, Y = Year, all two digits each)
Upon logging in, you will be required to reset your PIN and answer security questions for your BannerWeb account. You may then proceed to the UIW e-Payment Center to make your housing deposit.
Deposit date will be used as a factor to determine room selection priority. Please allow 1-2 business days to process your deposit.
In order to take advantage of ALL housing application steps, students are encouraged to submit proof of their meningitis immunization by the recommended dates of March 1st (fall applicants) or December 1st (spring applicants).
UIW has contracted with Magnus Health to manage your student health records. You need to submit proof of your Meningitis vaccine to your Magnus Health account for UIW. You will receive an email that contains a username and password for your account. The email will contain brief instructions that explain how you should access the account. If you do not receive this email or if you have further questions, please contact the Magnus Health Help Desk at 877-461-6831. We suggest checking your spam mail as the initial email will come from Magnus rather than UIW.

Your username for the housing application is the prefix to your UIW email. For example, if your e-mail is email@example.com, your username is cardinal. Your default password is your student ID #.
