Room/Meal Change Period Begins: (Spring 2014)

Only forms submitted during the designated dates will be considered.
Once the room and meal change request period has expired, room change requests are considered on a case-by-case basis. If you have roommate/suitemate concerns, please contact your RA or the Graduate Assistant for your building:

Once the meal change request period has expired, the only requests accepted are exception/exemption requests, which much be submitted in writing for approval by the Dean of Campus Life. Since these requests are considered exceptions/exemptions, they should be accompanied by supporting documentation. The form for these requests can be picked up in the Campus Life Office in Marian Hall or downloaded here.
The Office of Residence Life offers break housing at two different parts of the year: Summer and Winter.
Summer Break constitutes the time between the end of the last Summer session and the start of the Fall semester. Only those students who are in Summer housing for the last Summer session and who have a room reservation for the Fall are eligible to take advantage of Summer Break Housing. Summer Break Housing is $100 per week and all weeks between Summer & Fall will be included. There will not be an opportunity to sign up for a partial stay during the Summer Break. During the Summer Break, students will have an opportunity to move from their Summer room to their reserved Fall room.
Additional information about Summer Break will be available after the Summer term begins.
Winter Break consists of the weeks when school is not in session between the end of the Fall semester and the start of the Spring semester. Students who do not wish to take advantage of Winter Break Housing should check-out by the scheduled Hall Close Date for the Fall semester. These students may leave their belongings in their room over the break, but are encouraged to take valuables home with them. Additional guidelines about the policies in effect during the winter break are made available to the residents during the Fall semester at the same time as closing procedures and expectations. Students who are interested in taking advantage of the Winter Break option will need to sign up in advance to avoid fees associated with improper checkouts. The Winter Break option is made available at $100 per week and can be requested in increments of individual weeks. These charges are added to the student account. Students are usually allowed to remain in their same room during Winter Break. There is no requirement to purchase a separate meal plan for this Winter Break option.
Additional information about Winter Break will be available late in the Fall semester.
Room Reservation will occur following Registration Day (usually occurs in late April).
To secure a room on campus, students are required to have a $225 housing deposit on file with the Business Office. Deposits can be paid directly to the Business Office (210-829-6043) or online, using the UIW ePayment Center in Banner Web. Please allow 1-2 business days to process your deposit.

Only those students who have registered full-time for Fall classes will be eligible to apply for housing during Spring Room Reservation.
Housing Process Dates: Current Residents

Room Reservation will occur in the Spring, following Registration Day. Additional information will be provided via e-mail about information sessions and process dates. Once these details are released, the information will also be available in this section.
Note: All current residents must be registered full-time for UIW courses in order to be eligible for housing.

Cancellations prior to occupancy (check-in) must be
submitted to email@example.com and are subject to the Refund Schedule outlined
in the Agreement
Policy Guidelines. Please include name and ID with request.
Cancellations after occupancy must be submitted in
writing to firstname.lastname@example.org. The email
should be sent from the student's UIW email account. It should include 1)
student name, 2) student ID #, 3) current room, and 4) any additional details
about the cancellation (i.e. anticipated check-out date and time). This form may
also be submitted in person to the Office of Campus Life in Marian Hall.
