The Campus Health Center provides basic health services that focus on primary prevention care, health education and counseling, care for acute minor illnesses and injuries, and the maintenance of health records and assistance with the university insurance plan.
At UIW, students are encouraged to take responsibility for their body, mind, and spirit (personal wellness). Students are challenged to examine their own personal wellness plan. Support is given for changes resulting in continued improvement and growth.

Meningitis Immunization Clinic: A clinic offering the meningitis vaccine will be available during freshmen resident check-in on 19 August 2009 from 9 am until 4 pm in the Marian Hall Ballroom. This vaccine which prevents bacterial meningitis, is for students who will be living in a residence hall setting for the first time. Cost of the vaccine is $125.00 which may be paid by cash, check, credit card, or can be billed to the student's account. A Doctor is available on campus in Health Services Tuesdays 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. and on Wednesdays 3:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m. No appointments are necessary. Students are seen on a walk-in basis.
Students' medical records are confidential and maintained in the Campus Health Center.
Seriously ill students are referred to a hospital or clinic of their choice.
