UIW’s College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (CHASS, rhymes with “jazz”) provides a well-rounded liberal-arts education for undergraduates through our many CORE curriculum courses and
through our numerous degree programs.
CHASS courses provide considerable opportunities for students to broaden their skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, oral and written communications, and understanding of the human experience and condition. CHASS students participate in research and study abroad, international internships, and course-based travel abroad.
Because of this liberal-arts education, CHASS graduates are attractive to employers in business, the arts, education, the medical and legal professions, and social-service occupations. Students interested in medicine, dentistry, law, and other professional fields often major in a liberal-arts field, thereby establishing an excellent foundation for professional studies.
CHASS offers various majors, minors, and concentrations. Click a link below for further information.
