Dr. David A. Ortiz is the Founding Director of the Graduate Support Center and Assistant Professor in Graduate Studies & Research at the University of the Incarnate Word. He has worked in higher education for nearly twenty years as a faculty member and administrator including positions at Indiana University, Oklahoma State, Baylor University and Concordia University Texas. Dr. Ortiz earned his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Indiana University-Bloomington. He holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Texas A&M University.

Carlos de León is a graduate of the International School of the Americas and UIW with a Bachelor of Arts in Government with a minor in Communication Arts. He is currently a working on his Masters of Business Administration. Currently, he serves in leadership positions with various community and political organizations in San Antonio. He enjoys painting, traveling, and live music events in his spare time. Carlos would like to serve one day in public office and advocate for underprivileged communities.

Jessica Garcia received her Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting from the Tecnologico de Monterrey. She worked in the accounting field as an intern in the Auditing department at Deloitte before becoming a Transfer Pricing assistant in KMPG, Mexico. Jessica is currently enrolled in the Masters of Healthcare Administration program and she plans to become a financial consultant when she graduates. Jessica enjoys traveling, making new friends and running.

Inci Yilmazli received her Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Haliç University in Istanbul. She is currently enrolled in the Masters of Healthcare Administration program. Inci plans to pursue a PhD in Health Policy and teach at the graduate level. She is an amateur linguist and holds a medical translator/interpreter degree. She translates books and writes for multiple websites. Inci enjoys travelling, writing and running.
