The University of the Incarnate Word Henrich Center for Fencing and International Sports is a state of the art fencing center and multi-sport court training facility. The Henrich Center has eight competition fencing strips that will be able to host a combination of local, regional and international competitions. This center provides for activity, diversity and serves Bexar County and University of the Incarnate Word communities.
The University of the Incarnate Word Sports and Wellness department consists of the Richard and Janet Cervera Wellness Center, the Ann Barshop Natatorium and the Henrich Center for Fencing and International Sports as well as the intramural sport department and the club sport department. The purpose of the UIW Sports and Wellness is to enrich the lives of the UIW community through fitness, wellness and athletic participation and competition opportunities. UIW students and staff are eligible to compete in intramural sports, while club sports are generally reserved for UIW students. As part of the UIW Mission we extend membership opportunities to the local community.
