Dr. Nancy Robbins

Highlights:

Dr. Robbins received her EdD from Teachers College, Columbia University, specializing in educational administrative practice in the Organization and Leadership Department.

As a member of the Columbia University community, a perspective on administrative responsibility emerged through her participation in course work, discussions, and reflections. This experience gave her a critical view of organizations as cultural institutions, an ability to analyze management models, an interest in equity and the political process for the building of community, and an awareness of the importance of leadership.

Dr. Robbins received her EdM with a concentration in administration, planning, and social policy, from Harvard University, allowing her to be a member of a diverse community of learners which broadened her professional and personal perspectives. Dr. Robbins’ instructors brought with them real world experiences that contributed to her transformation to an equity-oriented perspective of the world.

In addition to a teaching career that included elementary, middle school, high school, and adult basic education, Dr. Robbins spent 10 years planning and directing instructional technology in Texas and Colorado.
