Dr. Ann David presents at Texas Council of Teachers of English Language Arts Conference

Dr. Ann David (right) presents, with Texas State University Lecturer Katrina Jansky, at the 2018 Texas Council of Teachers of English Language Arts Conference in Galveston, Texas. Participants in the workshop explore ways to check the curriculum boxes and teach outside the box.

Dr. David is an assistant professor for the Dreeben School of Education in the Teacher Education Program. She prepares UIW students to teach in middle and high school. Dr. David has taught high school English and drama in public and private schools.

In addition to teaching, she is a teacher-consultant with the National Writing Project and presents at national conferences. Dr. David was awarded a Faculty Endowment Research Award. Her research interests include teaching writing, thoughtfully adaptive teachers, and disciplinary literacy.
