Highlights:

Dr. Henderson studied at the University of Heidelberg in West Germany prior to receiving his B.A. degree in European History and German Language from Wichita State University in 1970. He also received his M.A. in Educational Administration and Supervision from Wichita State in 1973. He completed his doctoral work at Oklahoma State University and graduated in 1979 with a specialization in Educational Administration.

Dr. Henderson has teaching and administrative experience in private as well as public education and as a consultant for a variety of human service institutions and private corporations. He has experience as a teacher, as an administrator at a variety of levels, and as a superintendent of schools in small suburban as well as large metropolitan school districts. He began his higher education teaching experience as an Assistant Professor and a member of the Graduate Faculty at Saint Louis University in 1979. He served as Coordinator Educational Administration at the University of Texas at San Antonio. He served as Chair for the Educational Administration and Supervision Graduate Programs at the University of Arkansas, Little Rock for six years where he also received the Faculty Excellence in Teaching award. He currently serves as Coordinator for the Organizational Leadership Concentration of the Ph.D. Program at the University of the Incarnate Word, in San Antonio Texas .

Henderson's current research projects include educational equity, educational law, and multicultural institutional leadership. Dr. Henderson is working on a second book in Education Law, and He has been retained as a consultant by research and educational organizations including the Texas Education Agency, the Arkansas State Department of Education and a variety of private corporations in the U.S. and internationally. His research and writing is published in international as well as national and regional journals. He is credited with the formulation and implementation of one of the Nation's first "performance pay" systems in education and he has designed management structures for a variety of institutions in the United States, Central, and South America. He has been called as an expert witness for Congressional Committees of State and National governments. Dr. Henderson serves as a Board Member for the Foundation for the Support and Enhancement of Higher Education in Bolivia and continues to serve as an American International Development consultant.
