The Cutting Edge Fiesta Fashion Show

The University of the Incarnate Word will hold their 2008 Cutting Edge Fiesta Fashion Show, an official Fiesta event, on Monday, April 21 at the Marriott Rivercenter Ballroom.

The new venue allows for additional seating for the perennially sold-out show. The fashion show will begin at 11:30 a.m. with lunch served following the runway event.

Tables of 10 are available for $1,500 (premier runway seating), $1,000 (second row), $750 (third and fourth row), and individual seats may be purchased for $75 each. For ticket information, call 210.829.6072; a ticket order form may also be downloaded here.

The show will feature student designers. Each designer produces a collection of six garments that they have illustrated, designed, and constructed this season in a fashion capstone course. The collection is centered on an individual theme selected by the student and can range from a season to a color or market segment.

The annual fashion event, which is celebrating its 28th year, is entirely produced by students. From sound and lighting to staging and contracting professional models, UIW students experience every aspect of planning a professional runway show.
