What is the central theme or concept in your collection?

Using influences from earthy Texas landscapes and textures, I wanted to capture the raw and rich yet adventurous side of favorite American classics.

How would you best describe your design style?

My design style is classic American influenced by my small town surroundings and Texas pride. It is western, blended with city sophistication.

How and when did you become interested in design?

I have always loved to draw and color. At 171 decided that I would like to become a fashion designer and went to the Dallas Apparel Mart with some family friends for my first taste of designing.

What types of silhouettes will you be presenting?

My designs have a very figure-fitting silhouette. I like well-tailored garments that fit proportionate and accentuate the human figure.

What were your inspirations for this collection?

My inspirations for this collection were the colors of the earth, natural fibers, and textures that reflect Texas beauty.

What fabrics will you be using?

Cotton, cotton blends, leather, and silks.

What important detail work should be noticed?

There are a lot of leather and deerskins in my collection. Some of the crystals on one garment were my great grandmother's. Also there is also a skirt made out of my great grandmother's linen napkins.

What designer do you admire or would most like to work with and why?

I admire Ralph Lauren for his dedication to his family and company. I also enjoy his classy style for men, women, and children. I would value any opportunity to work with him.

Describe yourself as a designer in five words or less:

classic, passionate, entertaining,

Other interests of hobbies?

I enjoy dancing and gymnastics. I work at Sea World of San Antonio as a performer in the White Whale and Dolphin show. I also love spending time with my family and God and without their support my life would not be near as fulfilling as it already has become.
