What is the central theme or concept of your collection? It's a translation of music through dress. Exploring your inner dark side or wild child, the sexual aggressive woman, the feminine side of the male. Sex Drugs and Music! How would you best describe your design style? My design style is an extension of myself, so it's not trendy, I hate trends. Ifs about being a leader creating your own style. Its about dressing not trying to be stylish you are already its your instinct so its just a connection between the clothes and your inner person. How and when did you become interested in design? I have always been a bit interested in design. At age 13 I saw the Todd Oldham fall 94 collection and my heart dropped. It was amazing! I knew then that what I wanted in life!!! What types if silhouettes will you be presenting? The silhouette will be razor sharp with low cuts low waist very fitted and wide bottomed trousers. What were your inspirations for this collection? I looked inside myself of people and eras that have intrigued me throughout the years such as Grace Jones, David Bowie, the club Kid Era. But in the end it's all about me hearing music and creating a look from a beat. What fabrics will you be using? I will be using leather and animal hides, denim, wool and jersey. What important details should be noticed? You should notice the hand painting on leather, bleach treated denim. What designers do you admire or would most like to work with and why? I admire Herve Leger, Claude Montana, Thiery Mugler, Ginfranco Ferre and Alexander McQueen. I have always found a personal connection between myself and their creative ability, and their ability to do what they want to create this strong unique individual. They design from whats inside not to impress the editors. Describe yourself as a designer in five words or less. Passionate, Ambitious, Innovative, Crazy Other interest or hobbies? Music is just as important to me as fashion. I love Techno music and traveling around the world to see my favorite djs like Richie Hawtin, Misstress Barbara and Kevin Saunderson manipulate sound. I also in my spare time like to mix Techno and spend time with my friends and family. |
