Program Information
ContinUIW is designed to facilitate student retention and persistence with the University. ContinUIW provides an opportunity for fulltime main campus undergraduate students to continue their academic studies during summer term at reduced cost. The program offers a maximum tuition grant of up to $8,000 over four years, along with other benefits to students who qualify.
ContinUIW eligibility is simple. Main camppus undergraduate students with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 enrolled fulltime at UIW for the prior fall and spring semesters (12/12), and who elect to enroll for a minimum of 3 hours in the summer term, qualify for the program.
ContinUIW tuition grants vary from $1,000 to $2,000 per summer term as follows; $1,000 for enrollment of 3-5 hours; $1,500 for enrollment of 6-8 hours; and $2,000 for enrollment of 9 or more hours. Students residing in University housing who enroll for 6 or more hours will also receive a housing grant of $500 to be applied to their summer housing expense.
ContinUIW is a “use it or lose it” program. Benefits may only be applied during the summer term following qualifying fall and spring terms. Benefits may not be carried forward to another year or term. The program is not available to graduate, ADCaP, online, consortium, or other scholarship/special programs.
ContinUIW is designed to facilitate student retention and persistence with the University and is intended to function automatically with no additional paperwork requirements. Student eligibility is confirmed by the Office of Student Financial Assistance after February 15th or upon student enrollment in summer term.
