On-Campus Facilities
Natatorium Classroom and Lab
The main classroom and laboratory facility utilized by the Athletic Training Education Program is located within the Ann Barshop Natatorium. The Natatorium is the newest and brightest of athletic facilities at UIW, it was formally dedicated in Fall '01. The classroom is outfitted with various forms of media technology such as projector, overhead, television, VCR and DVD player. As in most other classrooms on the UIW campus, students have full access to the wireless internet in the Natatorium classroom. Classroom Lab is also equiped with multifunctional tables.
Exercise Physiology and Biomechanics Lab
Students in the Athletic Training Education Program have access to the Exercise Physiology and Biomechanics Lab within the Department of Human Performance. The Exercise Physiology and Biomechanics Lab is located in the Wellness Center. The lab is used by both undergraduate and graduate students along with Human Performance faculty for research and testing of the human body. Students have some of the most current software and equipment for use in studying and researching the human body.
Natatorium Athletic Training Room
The newest Athletic Training Room is within the Ann Barshop Natatorium. The Natatorium is the newest and brightest of athletic facilities at UIW, it was formally dedicated in Fall '01. The Athletic Training Room is approximately 2250 square feet with six treatment tables, two taping tables, office space, a separate hydrotherapy area, a separate rehabilitation area and storage space for both the education and clinical programs. The Natatorium Athletic Training Room is the main facility for Cardinal Athletics.
Convocation Center Athletic Training Room
The first Athletic Training Room was built in the Alice P. McDermott Convocation Center. The Athletic Training Room is approximately 800 square feet with two treatment tables, two taping tables, a hydrotherapy area and storage area. The Convocation Athletic Training Room is the used for volleyball, men's and women's basketball teams on campus.
