Welcome to the home of the University of the Incarnate Word Athletics. This site contains information about all sports offered at the university as well as information about the coaches, the staff, the UIW Athletic Hall of Fame, camps, facilities and links of interest to sports fans.

Heartland ConferenceWith the recent announcements of football and men's swimming, the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio offers nine men's and 10 women's sports. The Cardinals are members of the NCAA Division II. Incarnate Word also competes as a charter member of the Heartland Conference. All UIW teams are eligible for post-season competition in Division II, some through conference championships and others with an at-large berth.

ARIZONA EXHIBITION, LIVE TV HEADLINE SLATE Incarnate Word’s men’s basketball team in the coming season has a schedule that features an exhibition game at the University of Arizona, another game with St. Mary’s that will be telecast live, and a list of Heartland Conference games that will determine the league’s representative in post-season play.
