PRESIDENTIAL WINE & CHEESE SOCIAL

Alumni, parents and guests will take in the campus view, while enjoying wine and cheese
with the UIW president and his wife. Free event.

DECADE DINNER (40s, 50s, 60s, 70s)
7:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. L’Etoile, 6106 Broadway St.
Alumni from the 1940s-70s can delight in authentic French cuisine at this popular restaurant.
Cost for the dinner is $30 per person. Pre-registration is required.

DECADE DINNER (80s, 90s, 00s)
7:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Paloma Blanca Mexican Cuisine, 5800 Broadway St.
Alumni from the 1980s-00s can feast on freshly prepared Mexican dishes. Cost for the
dinner is $20 per person. Pre-registration is required.

HEADWATERS NATURE WALK
8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. Meet at the Brackenridge Villa
Tour the Blue Hole, the headwaters spring of the San Antonio River and learn about the new nature sactuary, created by the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word.

BREAKFAST WITH THE SISTERS
9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Le Peep Cafe, 1896 Nacogdoches Rd.
Reminisce with leadership from the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word congregation,
as they swap stories both old and new. Cost for the buffet breakfast is $10 per person. Preregistration is required. Space is limited.

MEET THE FACULTY
11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Marian Hall Student Center
Alumni and parents will have an opportunity to meet face to face with faculty and administration. Don’t miss your chance to find out what is happening at each college. This is also your chance to purchase UIW merchandise from the school bookstore. Refreshments will be served. Free event.

“LIGHT THE GRILL” ALUMNI & PARENTS BARBECUE
12:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Marian Hall Student Center
Roll up your sleeves and bring your appetite, because this is one barbecue where you will
not leave hungry! Cost for the barbecue is $10 per person. Pre-registration is required.

SYNCHRONIZED SWIMMING SHOWCASE
2:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Barshop Natatorium
Our team is 3rd in the Nation and are going to the Olympic trials in 2010! Come see the
synchro team as they perform a private show for alumni and parents. Free event.

CAMPUS TOURS
3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. UIW Campus
This is your chance to see the campus and tour some of the new buildings. This is a selfguided tour with Student Ambassadors and faculty available at various locations around campus. Shuttles will be available to take you to the new Feik School of Pharmacy.

Alumni come network with your fellow alums, while sipping Starbuck’s coffee, before the
Light the Way ceremony. Free event.

LIGHT THE WAY

Join us for the Texas tradition of Light the Way on the UIW campus. Celebrate with us as
we light our campus with over a million Christmas lights. The event is free and open to the
community.

Sunday, November 18

MEMORIAL MASS
10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Chapel of the Incarnate Word
During the month of November, we prayerfully remember those who have touched our own lives. We invite you to e-mail us the names of those you wish to have remembered at the Annual Memorial Mass. Make sure you include your name in your e-mail, so we know who sent in the prayer list. You may e-mail them to gladysd@uiwtx.edu. You may call in your names to (210) 829-6014 or 1-800-584-5322. At the end of the liturgy, there will be a remembrance of the deceased Incarnate Word Sisters in the CCVI cemetery.

SILVER & GOLD ANNIVERSARY BRUNCH
12 noon - 1:30 p.m. Marian Hall Ballroom
This is a special gathering for the Class of 1982 and the Class of 1957. A scrumptious
champagne brunch will be served. Entertainment will be provided by UIW Jazz Ensemble.
