Alumni & Parents Weekend
November 16-18
“Building on Our Traditions”

Dear Alumni & Parents,
On behalf of the UIW Alumni Board, the Department
of Alumni Relations and the Offices of Campus Life,
I invite you to join us on the University of the Incarnate Word
campus the weekend of November 16-18 for Alumni & Parents
Weekend. This year’s theme is “Building on Our Traditions.” It
is an opportunity for Alumni to see all the changes on campus
since graduation, and for parents, an opportunity to share in
your son or daughter’s experience at UIW.
This year is an exceptionally exciting year to visit the campus, with the recent completion of the Feik School of Pharmacy and the announcement of Cardinal Football! Also, Alumni & Parents Weekend coincides with “Light the Way,” the annual ceremony where all of the campus Christmas lights are illuminated.
Enclosed is a schedule of events with the rich array of planned activities. This year’s schedule of events is different from year’s past, and I want to encourage you all to attend as many events that interest you. The scheduled events include dinners with fellow alumni, the opportunity to meet with administrators and faculty, a special performance by our nationally-ranked, synchronized swimming team, and a presentation from the newly hired football coach, Mike Santiago. Of course, I would especially like to call your attention to “Light the Way” festivities, which commence with a Mass at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, November, 17.
If you have any questions, contact us via phone at (210) 829-6014 or 1-800-584-5322. I look forward to seeing you all on Alumni & Parents Weekend!
Sincerely,
Louis J. Agnese, III
Chairman, Alumni & Parents Weekend
Vice-President, UIW Alumni Board
