Class Agents will act as a liaison between UIW and classmates. In addition, they will coordinate activities within the class to encourage contributions to the Phonathon and other fundraising campaigns. They will also keep the class informed of alumni activities and opportunities on campus and in other cities.
Class agents will be elected in their senior year, during Student Government elections held in the spring. Each class year will have two Class Agents. Students/Alumni will run in pairs. They will serve for five (5) years. At their five year reunion, elections will be held for the next class Agents.
The Class Agents will:
- Help identify and recruit classmate volunteers to assist in Phonathon
- Encourage alumni to keep all their records up to date in the Department of Alumni Relations
- Identify alumni prospects for Alumni Board membership, Associate membership and major gifts
- Develop a classmate communication network to assist the Department of Alumni Relations in promoting upcoming events (i.e. reunions, networking events, Homecoming), find “missing” alumni, and recruiting potential volunteers. This might include e-mail blasts, letter writing and phone trees.
- Assisting Admissions in recruiting prospective students (Cardinal Alumni Admissions Program)
