UIW Alumni Association Board of Directors Nomination Form

The University of the Incarnate Word Alumni Association is seeking qualified candidates to be nominated for the Alumni Association Board of Directors. There are 21 voting member positions, and nominations for vacant positions will be reviewed by the Board Nomination Committee by April 2008. The new Board members will be notified in June. They will officially take office at this time. A mandatory Board retreat will be held in July 2008 in San Antonio.
Members serve three year staggered terms, during which time they participate in two general Board meetings each year (April/November) at their own expense, as well as the meetings and activities of their assigned committees.
A member of the Board of Directors is selected to hold the position based on demonstrated involvement, support and commitment to the University of the Incarnate Word. Members serve in an advisory and advocacy capacity on behalf of the University and when possible, represent the University and the Association at alumni activities, events, and programs.

Criteria:
1. Graduate of University of the Incarnate Word.
2. Achieved a responsible leveled position within his/her chosen field.
3. Received recognition from peers through honors and awards from professional organizations.
4. Other evidence of remarkable professional success.
5. Actively involved in the University of the Incarnate Word.
