Accreditation

The University of the Incarnate Word is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award bachelors, masters, and doctoral degrees.

The University also holds accreditation from the State Board for Education Certification, The National Association of Schools of Theater (NAST), the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas, the American Dietetic Association, and the Commission for Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Additionally, the University is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Educational Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology (JRCNMT), the Commission of Accreditation of Athletic Training Education, and the Music Therapy Program is approved by The American Association for Music Therapy.

The University of the Incarnate Word, through its H-E-B School of Business and Administration, is nationally accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs to offer the following business degrees: The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with concentrations in Accounting, Banking and Finance, General Business, Information Systems, International Business, Management, Marketing, Merchandising Management, and Sports Management. The Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree and the MBA with concentrations in International Business and Sports Management.
