Activities Fair (images)
This year’s spring semester Activities Fair will be held on January 30th. The Fall Activities Fair was held on Sept 5. This is a great opportunity for all of the organizations to recruit new members. We have many organizations with a vast amount of potential. If you are not already involved in an organization, stop by the SGA office for more information about joining one..
Mulch Madness
This event is held during the spring semester. Please join us on Friday, March 28 at the Villages of Incarnate Word, which is adjacent to UIW. Meet in the Student Center at 9 am. Free breakfast and lunch are provided.
UIW Day (Theme: The Word Around the World)
Join us on Tuesday, March 25, 2008. Events for the day include a panel of UIW Service Abroad, a picnic at the Clocktower, a Cardinal Carnival sponsored by SGA and CAB, a panel on Social Justice and the Curriculm, an Incarnate Word Day Liturgy, Presentation of the CCVI Spirit Award, followed by a reception, and a Pierre Lecture.
Awards Banquet
This semi-formal event scheduled for Wednesday, April 16, 2008 celebrates all of the efforts by student organizations and athletics to make UIW the best place to be. Student organizations are recognized for exemplary service and school spirit events, and getting freshmen involved in our campus community.
Waffle Mania (images)
Waffle Mania is held twice a year for all students of UIW. The spring date is Sunday, May 4. This event is put on by SGA’s awesome senators who set up and serve the waffles from10 p.m. to 12 a.m. on the Sunday before finals week. There were lots of waffles, lots of people, lots of syrup and lots of studying.
Heritage Day
This fall event commemorates the rich history and heritage of UIW. Learn more about how UIW was founded, our relationship with Christus Santa Rosa, and the significant contributions made to our community.
Golden Harvest (images)
This year was SGA’s 20th annual Golden Harvest event. It was held on October 20th. Several UIW student organizations were in attendance with more than 250 participants. It was a great year for collecting; overall SGA gathered 2.0 tons of food. Student organization winners collecting the greatest amount of food were: Ethics Club, Campus Ministry, and the Business Club. Each group received $150. We hope to see all of you out there on October 18, 2008!
